If you’ve invested in a grass and clover ley, the last thing you want is weeds taking over and reducing its potential. That’s where ProClova® XL comes in.
Available from W.E. Jameson, ProClova® XL is a clover-safe herbicide designed to tackle a wide range of troublesome broad-leaved weeds while allowing valuable clover to thrive. With fertiliser costs still a major consideration, maintaining clover in the sward can help reduce nitrogen requirements and improve forage quality.
For newly sown leys, ProClova® XL is applied at 85g/ha plus 165ml/ha of XL adjuvant. It provides excellent control of weeds such as:
- charlock
- cleavers
- dandelions
- mayweed
- shepherd’s purse
- hogweed
- seedling docks
This helps young leys establish quickly without weed competition. In established grassland, the rate increases to 125g/ha plus 250ml/ha of XL adjuvant.
It is particularly effective on:
- docks
- dandelions
- creeping buttercup
- cow parsley
- plantain
- hogweed
- cleavers
- yarrow
All are common weeds that can reduce both grazing and silage quality. By keeping weeds under control, more nutrients go into growing grass and clover rather than feeding unwanted plants. The result is a cleaner sward, better-quality forage and improved utilisation from every acre.
